Nick A. Mason
Nick graduated from Sheffield University in 1987 and after attending Chester College of Law was admitted as a solicitor in 1990. He is responsible for the implementation of the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme within the firm and is a member of the Law Society Private Client Section. Nick focuses on the buying and selling of private/domestic and commercial property and deals with freehold and leasehold titles. He also advises in respect of the buying and selling of small businesses, remortgages, transfers of equity and right to buy properties. Nick also assists clients in relation to the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, applications for probate, tax planning and elderly client matters. Nick is our Compliance Officer for Financial Administration.
Stephen A. Brookes
Stephen graduated from The University of Birmingham in 1984 and went on to attend The College of Law in Chester qualifying in 1985 and being admitted to the solicitors’ profession in 1987. He is an Assessor of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme, having been a member of the Accreditation scheme since 1996; he has specialised in personal injury claims for 31 years. He undertakes all aspects of personal injury law including major injury and illness claims, clinical negligence and injuries to children, often through no win/no fee funding. He also takes proceedings against social services departments for negligent delay in taking children into care. Stephen handles employment law and general civil litigation cases such as possession claims by landlords and boundary and probate disputes. Stephen is our Compliance Officer for Legal Practice.
Janet Farrell, Conveyancing Manager, Stoke on Trent Office
Janet is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives ( FILEX) and is the conveyancing manager responsible for property matters at our Stoke-on-Trent office and has practised as a Legal Executive since 1994. She handles the buying and selling of residential/domestic property including freehold and long leasehold titles. Janet also deals with right to buy properties, re-mortgages, compulsory purchase problems and transfers of equity. Janet also practices in the areas of Will writing, the obtaining of probate and estate administration, and preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Ang Barlow, Office Manager, Newcastle Office
Ang deals with the day to day running of the firm, office management and administration and deals with advertising, staffing matters, compliance issues and credit control.
Michelle Geraghty
Michelle is our legal cashier and handles the firm’s accounts subject to the oversight of the Compliance Officer.
Debbie Hodgson
Debbie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in our property, Wills, probate and estates department based at our Newcastle-under-Lyme office.
Rachael Cooper
Rachael is a Legal Assistant in the personal injury and litigation department at our Stoke on Trent office.
Alexe Millward
Alexe is a Legal Assistant in our family department at our Newcastle under Lyme office.
