Mediation is an area where Salmons can offer particular expertise.

With extensive knowledge of family law, and one of only a few Staffordshire outlets to be contracted with the Legal Aid Agency for mediation work,  we are one of a very small  group able to offer family mediation services under legal aid. All mediation is undertaken to the Code of Practice of "Resolution",  formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association

Sessions involve bringing the couple together to resolve key issues, but at no time is either party expected to commit to anything without talking to their own solicitors first.

Since the Resolution was formed in 1982, Mediation has grown in popularity as a sensitive, efficient and cheaper alternative when a relationship breaks down.

We are always very grateful to receive referrals from other family solicitors or other professional legal advisors who consider that their clients might benefit from a family mediation service or who simply want confirmation for the legal aid agency that mediation is not suitable for their particular client.
